It’s kind of hard to believe that this darling little girl is already 6 months old. It was a really cold day in October when we did this. Normally, I do 6 month photos inside, but her 9 month photos were going to be in January, so we decided to switch things up a little. I have to admit that I was a little nervous, but she was SUCH a trooper! We kept her wrapped in blankets and removed them quickly to snap our photos. Her mom wanted a photo of her to put in her yellow bathroom. As soon as I heard that, I immediately envisioned these shots and asked her if I should buy this little yellow polka dot bikini from Cream of the Prop. I was so glad she said yes! She showed so much personality and I really love these photos!

Hard to believe this little guy is one already! He’s simply darling and I get to see him every Sunday at church. His mom made the backdrop for the cake smash and then she gave it to me when were were done 🙂 I adore it. It’s so fun! I think the colors are perfect for a little boy. It was actually freezing outside the day we did the cake smash, so we did family photos another day. He was such a little ham. I wanted to take him home with me. Check out the tractor they brought!Read More

I can not even begin to describe to you how WONDERFUL this family is! I first met their mother at the park. I overheard her telling a friend about her photography business. She is Lauren from Captured by Clark photography. I quickly introduced myself and offered to be a second photographer for her at weddings. We’ve photographed 5 weddings together now and are getting ready for our 6th in March. She even brought her very fancy and very expensive lenses to this photo shoot and let me use them. I’m in love. Big time. This lens will be my next big purchase. I always rent this lens when I’m shooting a wedding by myself, but I think it’s time to buy it. Her husband is Dustin of Black Bag Doc. You should really check it out. It’s such a great concept. These kids were darling and were so nice to each other. It’s rare to get through an entire photo shoot without any arguing when there are four kids, so photographing them was a real treat!

I’m so happy to be blogging this sweet baby. She was so squishy and so sweet. She let me pose her every way I wanted to (which is rare) and I just adored her. And that shot with her mother? One of the most precious I’ve taken. Everyone needs newborn photos 🙂

My sweet daughter turned eight years old recently (Okay, so it was really a long time ago. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to work on personal projects). I like to take each of my children out for a special photo shoot for their birthdays. It’s a lot of fun. We took a LONG hike to get to this field, but I think it was so worth it! By the time we were done, the fireflies came out!

One of the perks of doing newborn photos for people you know is being able to see their pregnancy lived out on facebook. Let’s just say that this little guy has been GREATLY anticipated. His grandmother posted multiple updates about his entrance into the world (she was obviously tickled about her first grandchild). And he’s even had his own hashtag for quite a while. And he did not disappoint. He’s DARLING. His parents were so sweet and so proud and so in love with him! Yup, I love hanging out with new parents!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to hang out with new parents. There is just something so special about that first baby!
This sweet baby has some of the STRONGEST legs of any baby of I have ever photographed. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Her mom is a dancer and proudly proclaimed that she must have dancer legs. She is such a beautiful baby and I love her hair!
Emery’s parents had just moved to Kingsport about a month before she was born. Her mom’s dermatologist actually recommended me to her! I am a busy mother of four whose husband is in graduate school. One day, I will advertise and market my little business a little more fully, but for right now business is purely word of mouth. So I really do appreciate all of you who have supported me and recommended me to those you know!
