Sadie actually did not just turn one. She’s going to be three soon and now has a little brother. But I got REALLY behind on blogging a while ago and decided to go alphabetically. Sadly for Sadie, she’s at the end of the alphabet and I never got around to sharing these! They are still some of my absolute favorite one year old photos. She is so sweet and has these darling little nose crinkles when she smiles. She LOVED her cake and her mom designed the sweetest little pink and gold back drop for her. Happy birthday, little one!

This amazing family moved to Kingsport not too long after we did….eleven years ago…. I had just one little baby and their oldest was in middle school. Now two of them are in college and the younger two are right behind them. It’s crazy how quickly life moves forward. What I love most about this family is how obvious it is that everyone loves each other and they know how to have FUN. They are great friends and were so glad to be back together after the oldest had been serving as a missionary out west for the past 18 months.
Thank you for letting me photograph your girls!

It is always so fun to see Ms. Emmaline! As a Denim and Lace Photography Baby Plan baby, I get to see her every three months. She is so happy and so smiley. We were done with these photos in record time. It helps, too, that big brother is always happy to tag along. We did these at Warrior’s Path State Park in Kingsport and I think they turned out just lovely! It is always amazing to me to see just how quickly these babies grow. You can see her 3 month photos here, her newborn photos here, and her mom’s maternity photos https://denimandlacephotography.com/2014/10/10/falyn-kingsport-maternity-photographer/.

It seems like just yesterday I was photographing this family. They were just a couple then, but were so excited to welcome their little boy! We decided to go to the same place for his one year photos as we did their maternity photos. So much symbolism. He has grown so much and is such a happy and sweet baby! And, believe it or not, he’s a very serious eater. It seemed as if he was was wondering what in the world we were all doing as we watched him eat his cake 🙂

I LOVE finding new places to photograph. It adds some fun and interest to my job. So when this mom contacted me about a family photo session on the old family farm, I was quite excited. It had been raining all week and we were quite concerned about the weather. They had taken the day off work and were driving all the way up from South Carolina for this. So we really needed it to work! And it DID! And I think the photos turned out just beautifully.

One of the perks of doing newborn photos for people you know is being able to see their pregnancy lived out on facebook. Let’s just say that this little guy has been GREATLY anticipated. His grandmother posted multiple updates about his entrance into the world (she was obviously tickled about her first grandchild). And he’s even had his own hashtag for quite a while. And he did not disappoint. He’s DARLING. His parents were so sweet and so proud and so in love with him! Yup, I love hanging out with new parents!
